As you can probably guess, this will be Polygon Eye’s monthly favorites column, but as I’m addicted to “What’s in my bag” posts, bag spills and flatlays, I wanted to put my personal spin on it! Thus how “Month in a Bag” was born, where I’ll be presenting you with things I genuinely love and highly recommend, from makeup and skincare, to accessories and fashion items, but also whatever I feel like has had some kind of positive impact on my daily life!
Όπως μπορείτε να φανταστείτε αυτή θα είναι η στήλη του Polygon Eye με τα αγαπημένα του μήνα, επειδή όμως έχω μια φανερή αδυναμία σε posts του στιλ what’s in my bag, bag spills και flatlays, είπα να προσθέσω την προσωπική μου πινελιά! Ετσι γεννήθηκε το “Month in a Bag”, όπου θα σας παρουσιάζω πράγματα που ειλικρινά μου αρέσουν πάρα πολύ και θα πρότεινα ανεπιφύλακτα, από μακιγιάζ και περιποίηση, μέχρι αξεσουάρ και ρούχα, αλλά και οτιδήποτε έχει επηρεάσει κάπως θετικά την καθημερινότητά μου!
This piece of work, is the item that has clearly inspired this month’s post, and it’s a holographic choker from Bershka! I do have a soft spot for holographic things (and chokers) in general, and I’m overly excited that they are currently trending, but sometimes they can look a bit too much. This little guy though, paired with a somewhat minimal or not-too-colorful outfit can add a little edge to your look, without making you look like you’re thirsty for attention! There’s not much more to say, if you like chokers, and/or holographic accessories, this is a must have!
Αυτό είναι προφανώς το αντικείμενο που ενέπνευσε το post αυτό του μήνα, και είναι ένα ολογραφικό choker από Bershka! Έχω γενικότερα μια αδυναμία στα ολογραφικά αντικείμενα (και τα choker) και χαίρομαι που μπορώ να τα βρω εύκολα και παντού πλέον, αλλά κάποιες φορές δείχνουν υπερβολικά. Το συγκεκριμένο choker όμως, είναι πολύ πιο διακριτικό από άλλα ολογραφικά αξεσουάρ που κυκλοφορούν και αν συνδυαστεί σωστά, με ένα μίνιμαλ στιλ χωρίς πολύ έντονα χρώματα και επιπλέον αξεσουάρ, μπορεί να κάνει το look σας αμέσως πολύ πιο ιδιαίτερο. Δεν χρειάζεται να πω πολλά, αν σας αρέσουν τα choker ή/και τα ολογραφικά αντικείμενα, αυτό είναι κάτι που πρέπει να έχετε!
× Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick – Scorpio & LA Splash Smitten LipTint Mousse – Spellbound
It’s a fact that I haven’t put on a regular lipstick since 2015, as liquid lipsticks are all I gravitate towards anymore, and this month I have to recommend two very different shades and formulas! The first one is Scorpio by Jeffree Star, which is a grey mauve shade. It’s such a unique color that I like to pair with either a subtle everyday eyelook, or a more dramatic nighttime makeup look, it works both ways! I absolutely love the scent and of course the formula of this liquid lipstick, because it’s completely matte yet very comfortable on the lips. The next one is Spellbound by LA Splash, a very dark chocolate brown with a hint of red in it. The Smitten LipTint Mousse formula is super highly pigmented and I love the Harry Potter themed names! You have to learn how to work with this one, it’s better if you don’t apply too much product or keep layering it, but it’s a lipstick that you know it won’t come off during the day and the overall shade range is gorgeous.
Είναι γεγονός ότι έχω να βάλω κανονικό κραγιόν από το 2015, γιατί πλέον χρησιμοποιώ μόνο υγρά κραγιόν (εκτός σπάνιων εξαιρέσεων), και αυτό το μήνα έχω να σας προτείνω δύο με πολύ διαφορετική απόχρωση και σύσταση μεταξύ τους! Το πρώτο είναι το Scorpio από Jeffree Star, το οποίο έχει μια γκρι-μωβ απόχρωση. Είναι ένα τόσο ιδιαίτερο χρώμα που μου αρέσει να το βάζω και με πιο διακριτικό καθημερινό μακιγιάζ, αλλά και με πιο έντονο βραδινό. Μου αρέσει τρομερά η μυρωδιά του αλλά φυσικά και η σύστασή του γιατί είναι ένα εντελώς matte κραγιόν που όμως είναι ταυτοχρονα απίστευτα άνετο πάνω στα χείλη. Το επόμενο υγρό κραγιόν είναι το Spellbound από LA Splash, το οποίο είναι ένα πολύ σκούρο σοκολατένιο καφέ. Τα Smitten LipTint Mousse είναι μια σειρά με πάρα πολύ έντονη απόδοση, φοβερές αποχρώσεις και ονόματα εμπνευσμένα από Harry Potter! Όταν το χρησιμοποιώ προσπαθώ να μην βάζω πολύ προϊόν πάνω στα χείλη ή την μια στρώση πάνω από την άλλη, γιατί έχει ιδιαίτερη σύσταση αλλά μπορώ να είμαι σίγουρη ότι δεν θα φύγει κατά την διάρκεια της μέρας.
× Morphe M500 Deluxe Pointed Blender Brush & M501 Pro Pointed Blender Brush
These two are my first purchases from Morphe, and I am totally impressed and satisfied by these brushes! M500 is a very weird looking brush and that’s what drew me to it! It’s almost like a huge fluffy highlighting brush, and it actually can be used as one, it can work with a slightly more subtle highlighter for an overall glowy look. I, on the other hand mostly used it for bronzing during this past month. I especially like using it with bronzers that are too pigmented or warm for me right now, because this brush due to the length of the bristles help distribute the product with a very non harsh way. As for M501 which is such a overly hyped highlighting brush, there’s not much I can say, other than I had to grab it as well! It’s a very good brush to use for highlighting, and I like using its point for precise highlighting!
Αυτά τα δύο πινέλα είναι οι πρώτες μου αγορές από Morphe, και πρέπει να παραδεχτώ ότι με εντυπωσίασαν και έμεινα απόλυτα ικανοποιημένη! Το M500 είναι ένα πολύ περίεργο πινέλο και γι’αυτό ακριβώς μου κέντρισε την περιέργεια! Είναι σαν ένα υπερβολικά μεγάλο και φουντωτό πινέλο για highlighter, και αυτή είναι μια από τις χρήσεις του, ειδικά αν χρησιμοποιηθεί με ένα πιο διακριτικό highlighter για ένα λαμπερό αποτέλεσμα σε όλο το πρόσωπο. Προσωπικά, αυτό τον μήνα το χρησιμοποιώ περισσότερο για bronzer, ειδικά με κάποια από τα bronzer μου που έχουν πολύ έντονη απόδοση ή είναι πολύ θερμά για μένα. Επειδή οι τρίχες του πινέλου είναι μακριές και εύκαμπτες το αποτέλεσμα στο μακιγιάζ είναι λιγότερο “σκληρό”. Όσο για το Μ501 το οποίο είναι ένα πολύ γνωστό πινέλο για highlighting, δεν έχω να πω πολλά! Είναι πολύ καλό γι’αυτή την δουλειά και λόγω της άκρης του μπορώ να κάνω highlighting ακριβώς στα σημεία που θέλω!
× Sleek Highlighting Palette – Midas Touch
If you haven’t yet tried one of Sleek’s Highlighter palettes, you are absolutely missing out! The Solstice Palette has been a favorite of mine for quite some time now, but I really wanted to try Midas Touch as well, mainly because it has a blue highlighter in it! It includes a silver cream highlighter and also three powder highlighters all cool toned and super pigmented. I really like how interesting these shades are, and they look beautiful on pale skin.
Αν δεν έχετε δοκιμάσει κάποια από τις παλέτες με highlighters της Sleek, χάνετε! Η Solstice είναι αγαπημένη μου εδώ και πολύ καιρό και ήθελα να δοκιμάσω και την Midas Touch κυρίως γιατί έχει μέσα ένα μπλε highlighter! Περιέχει ένα κρεμώδες ασημένιο highlighter και τρία πουδρένια, όλα σε ψυχρές αποχρώσεις και με πολύ έντονη απόδοση, που ταιριάζουν πολύ σε ανοιχτόχρωμες επιδερμίδες!
I actually purchased this nail polish about 2 or 3 months ago, but I seriously love it and recommend it to everyone I talk to, so I couldn’t not include it in the first Month in a Bag post! It’s a nude nail polish with a hint of pink, perfect for pale skinned girls like me that usually look weird in regular nude polishes! The formula of these nail polishes by Erre Due is so great that it lasts 7 to 10 days on my nails, so it was actually the only nail polish I have been wearing lately!
Αγόρασα το συγκεκριμένο βερνίκι πριν από 2 ή 3 μήνες, αλλά μου αρέσει τόσο πολύ και το προτείνω τόσο συχνά που δεν μπορούσα να μην το βάλω στο πρώτο μου Month in a Bag! Είναι ένα nude βερνίκι με ροζ υποτόνους, ιδανικό για κοπέλες με λευκή επιδερμίδα που τα περισσότερα nude βερνίκια δεν τις κολακεύουν! Τα συγκεκριμένα βερνίκια της Erre Due διαρκούν στα νύχια μου από 7 έως και 10 μέρες, οπότε το Jade ήταν αυτό που προτιμούσα τον τελευταιο καιρό γιατί είναι πολύ όμορφο χρώμα που συνδυάζεται με τα πάντα!
This is yet another overly hyped product I tried this month, and I must say that this concealer deserves all the praise it has been getting! Pro Conceal is a very affordable concealer, but this is not the only reason why everybody talks highly of it! I’d say the shade range is pretty decent, and Porcelain, which is the lightest one, works great for me!
Άλλο ένα αρκετά γνωστό προϊόν που δοκίμασα αυτό το μήνα, και οφείλω να πω ότι αξίζει τα θετικά σχόλια που έχει λάβει! Το Pro Conceal είναι ένα πολύ οικονομικό concealer που πλέον μπορούμε να βρούμε και στην Ελλάδα, αλλά η τιμή του δεν είναι το μόνο θετικό! Στην σειρά υπάρχουν αρκετές αποχρώσεις, και η ανοιχτότερη η Porcelain είναι αυτή που χρησιμοποιώ καθημερινά!
